Rod Mell is a dynamic leader with over twenty-eight (28) years of experience in pharmaceutical and medical device quality management and regulatory. Results-driven, well-rounded experience base across the areas of plant operations, quality systems, regulatory strategy, sustaining engineering and new product development.

Before joining RCA, Rod served as the Head of Quality, Regulatory & Clinical for Philips Healthcare’s medical device and consumer product business for over 4 years, Vice President of Quality and Compliance at Alere, Inc. for 2 years, and was at Baxter Healthcare, Inc. for 12 years ending as their Senior Director of Global Quality Management for the Renal Division.

With his ability to translate vision and strategy into customer-oriented actions. He is a collaborative business partner driven to achieve company goals through robust quality management systems and effective stakeholder partnerships. Rod brings his strong leadership skills developed by managing across functional boundaries with organizations that have been engaged in complex regulatory environments. He has a proven track record of implementing the necessary controls to ensure compliance and reduce company risk. Using data-driven decisions to find effective solutions he has found great success in attracting talent, and developing teams with a commitment to building strong organizations.

Rod received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
